Recipella is a recipe-vault app for iOS. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. The short version: your recipes live on your device by default, we don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
By default, your recipes, grocery lists, and taste-profile preferences are stored locally on your device. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us unless you use one of the optional features described below.
You can use Recipella without an account. If you choose to create one — with an email address or Sign in with Apple — your saved recipes are stored in your private cloud account, hosted on Supabase, so they can sync and be restored. Your account data is visible only to you; it is not shared with other users or made public.
If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive only the identifier (and, if you choose to share it, the email address) that Apple provides.
When you import a recipe from a link or a photo, the app sends just that link or that photo's content to our recipe service so it can fetch and extract the recipe for you. We don't collect other browsing activity or your photo library — only the specific item you choose to import.
Some features — such as nutrition estimates and recipe extraction — process the content you submit (a recipe link, photo, or text) on our servers to generate a result. Only the content you submit for that feature is processed. AI-generated nutrition information is an estimate and is provided for convenience, not as medical or dietary advice.
Data stored on your device is under your control and is removed when you delete it in the app or delete the app. If you created an account, you can request deletion of your account and its data at any time by contacting us at hardawayhealth25@gmail.com, and we will delete it.
Recipella is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version at this page and update the effective date above.
